Coole race en klasse! Mooi om te zien waar een Civic toe in staat is. Over de auto zelf zal wel niet veel te vinden zijn he?

Ik weet alleen dat ie 2 liter is, hij was daarmee wel sneller dan auto's met (veel) grotere inhoud en/of turbo.

Nu nog erachter komen of het een Frankenstein B-series 2.0 is of een K20 met 5-bak, ik denk het eerste aannemelijker.

Wat ook een hele vette prestatie is, een civic EK B-series heeft sinds afgelopen december het FWD record in handen op Tsukuba, het Time Attack referentie circuit:

Ja als ik filmpje kijk is denk ik geen K-serie.

Damn EK is nog ietsjes sneller dan die tactical EG6, die is ook bruut snel.



In japan is K-swap niet zo populair volgens mij. Meeste kennis daarvan ligt ook in Amerika.

Maar ook in de VS zijn de record 1/4 mijl civics (turbo + NA) voorzien van B-serie, en de kennis voor K-swap is breed verkrijgbaar dus het zal wel bewust gekozen zijn.

N/A volgens mij zijn K-series de record houders, Turbo is wel B serie ja of H22. Voordeel van uitlaat aan de voorkant is om daar al je piping te maken ipv tussen de motor en schutbord.

Japanners kennen nauwelijks engels he die vertikken het ook gewoon denk ik om veel Amerikaanse spul te kopen.

N/A zijn de K series inderdaad een stukkie populairder onder de recordhouders, turbo auto's zijn vaak de B series inderdaad.

Wat betreft die race: goffedomme wat vet!! Dat is nou het soort racen waar ik van hou

As far as I could gather, it's a stroked B16.

From reading the class rules I also learned they are limited to 8"-wide wheels (this car uses 6ULs) and semi-slick tires (Yokohama A032R, A048R or A050). The minimum vehicle racing weight is 1045 Kg.

I agree with dirty19. Don't think there is anything over the top here. Just a solid car that is very well setup and driven.
That's why I'd love to learn about the suspension and brake setup.

Also some food for thought for the folks who are always thinking about power power power...

Both the Civic and Integra run highly developed 2.0L B-series engines with the blocks machined and modified by Golden Eagle Mfg in America. Engines are built here locally in Australia and depending on how hard we want to push them, they put out between 270-285bhp
